Open Registration
REGISTERING FOR CLASSES
Fall classes start Monday, August 25. If you have been admitted to the Fall 2008 semester and have not registered for classes, plan to attend Open Registration on Thursday, August 21 between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. You will meet with an academic advisor who will assist you in selecting your fall classes. Check-in will be located in the lobby of the Lucas Administrative Center, plaza entrance on the third floor.
FRESHMEN STUDENTS
Freshmen who did not attend Orientation this summer are also required to attend an academic orientation session at 9:30 a.m. or 12:00 p.m. We encourage you to attend one of the orientation sessions prior to registering for classes. Check-in will be located in the lobby of the Lucas Administrative Center. An orientation fee of $45 is required for all freshmen. The fee will be posted to your account following open registration day.
Challenge Testing
If you received information regarding Challenge Testing with your letter of acceptance, please read it carefully to determine if you are eligible for testing. If you are eligible for Challenge Testing in English, math or reading, you must do so prior to advising. Challenge Testing will be offered on the following dates and times:
- Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at 4:45pm in Founders Hall, room 421
- Thursday, August 21, 2008 at 7:45am in Founders Hall, room 421
Please contact the Testing Office at (859) 572-6373 if you are unsure if a challenge test is recommended for you.
READMIT, POST BACCALAUREATE and TRANSFER STUDENTS
Many departments are available to meet with students for academic advising and registration before Open Registration. You are encouraged to seek an advising appointment prior to Open Registration. If you are unable to obtain an advising appointment prior to August 21, please plan to attend Open Registration.
NON-DEGREE, EARLY ADMISSION, and VISITING STUDENTS (not eligible for financial aid)
