So You Don't Miss a Thing
Congratulations! You’re in. Now follow these steps and you'll be all set for the start of classes. To help you plan for your enrollment at NKU, we have put together a list of things to do prior to arriving.
Accepted Students
- Apply for scholarships
- Pay $75 Enrollment Confirmation Fee by May 1 or within two weeks of your acceptance
- Apply for Financial Aid. There are plenty of ways to finance your future
- Visit the Housing Options web site to learn more about our living communities
Confirmed Students (You have submitted your Enrollment Confirmation Fee.)
- Watch you mailbox for your Northern Exposure packet
- Keep studying! Your last classes of high school are also very important, so do your best!
- Accept your Financial Aid via Norse Express
- Attend New Student Orientation: Northern Exposure to register for next semesters classes and receive your student id - prepare for orientation by becoming familiar with the schedule of classes
- Complete Housing and Dining contract
Students Attending New Student Orientation: Northern Exposure
- What to bring for your stay on campus:
- Sleeping bag or linens for your bed
- A pillow and towel
- Alarm clock
- Toiletries (shampoo, soap, toothbrush, etc.)
- You will meet with your academic advisor and register for classes, receive your student id and learn more about available resources to help you succeed
- Mark the family calendar. Parent & family concurrent program also offered
Arriving Students - I am ready to be a Norse!
- Prepare for Move-In and Welcome Week
- Register for a parking pass and pay your tuition & fees via your Norse Express account
- Visit http://webmail.nku.edu/ to create your NKU email account using your student identification card number
- Don't forget to purchase your books!
