What's next...
Congratulations! You’re in. Now follow these steps and you'll be all set for the start of classes. To help you plan for your enrollment at NKU, we have put together a list of things to do prior to arriving.
Accepted Students
• Apply for scholarships. The deadline is January 15.
• Confirm my Enrollment. To reserve your place at NKU, please complete the enrollment confirmation form and pay the $75 fee. Upon receipt of your intent to enroll, you will be invited to NKU's orientation program, Northern Exposure.
• Apply for Financial Aid. There are plenty of ways to finance your future
• Learn more about living on campus• Activate your user ID. Your user ID along with your password, allows you access to NKU webmail, the myNKU portal, and any campus computer. You will need to set your password online at password.nku.edu to activate your user ID. Your user ID is located in the top right-hand corner of your acceptance letter.
Confirmed Students (You have paid your $75 Enrollment Confirmation Fee.)
• Watch your mailbox for information on attending Northern Exposure
• Keep studying! Your last classes in high school are very important, so do your best!
• Schedule your College Placement Test, prior to attending Northern Exposure
• Accept your Financial Aid
• Attend New Student Orientation: Northern Exposure to register for next semesters classes and receive your student id - prepare for orientation by becoming familiar with the schedule of classes
• Complete housing & dining contract (one will be mailed in late January)
Attending New Student Orientation: Northern Exposure
• What to bring for your stay on campus:
o Sleeping bag or linens for your bed
o A pillow and towel
o Alarm clock
o Toiletries (shampoo, soap, toothbrush, etc.)
• You will meet with your academic advisor and register for classes, receive your student id and learn more about available resources to help you succeed
Arriving Students - I am ready to be a Norse!
• Prepare for Move-In and Welcome Week
• Register for a parking pass and pay your tuition & fees
• Don't forget to purchase your books!
