Everybody Knows Your Name

You’re not just a number at NKU. We have earned a reputation for placing the student at the center of all we do. NKU graduates are diverse and well-prepared to meet the challenges of a changing work force.

Smaller Than You Think
The student/faculty ratio here is 14:1, and the average class size is about 24 students. NKU provides personal attention to every student, lively classroom discussions, and a comfortable learning atmosphere.  Classes are small and the opportunities are endless.  The relationship between faculty and students goes far beyond the classroom. Our students often remain in contact with their faculty mentors throughout their careers. Faculty also advise students on course curriculum, mentor student organizations and provide challenging and quality academic experiences to students like you. More than 80 percent of our faculty hold doctorate degrees.

But Big Enough to Experience New Ways of Thinking
About 14,000 students attend NKU – 12,000 undergraduates and more than 2,000 graduate and law students. NKU remains committed to providing up-close and personal attention to every single one. And while the university continues to grow, that commitment will never change. It’s why many say that NKU provides a private school education at a public school cost.
